Practicing English with friends can feel more comfortable when you agree on the goal. Not every conversation needs to become a lesson. Reserve a small part of your time for practice and use your preferred language afterward.

Knowing the streets of a new city is not the same as feeling part of it. A small, repeatable activity can be a more manageable starting point than trying to meet everyone in a week.

A simple introduction leaves room for the other person. You do not need to summarize your life or prove that you are interesting. Your name, a little context, and a specific question give a conversation somewhere to begin.
